The Coronavirus Outbreak: Many People are Being Affected

A few months ago, nobody could have predicted the current situation we find ourselves in. Many things have changed over the last few weeks, and many people’s lives are being directly affected by these changes.
Many times when an issue arises, only a section of the world is directly affected, and being that the Coronavirus has become so widespread, many people would agree that this pandemic marks an especially important time in our history that will likely go down in the books for generations to come.
Some of the ways that people have been directly affected include unexpected unemployment, canceling of schools, canceling of the majority of events, and many other limitations. Due to the severity of this virus, people have also been advised to stay home.
Due to the fact that there are so many drastic changes happening, news media have been covering this crisis extensively, in an attempt to keep people all around the world informed about the current situation.
It is crucial that the public stays educated during this time, and that is why there have been many articles published recently about ways people can stay safe.
Articles such as the one linked above suggest doing things such as practicing social distancing, washing hands regularly with soap and water, and avoiding touching one’s face.
One of the most notable pieces of information about this particular virus is that symptoms can either be systematic, or asymptomatic, meaning that some people show symptoms when they get the virus, while others do not. This can be especially dangerous because an individual may spread the virus to those around him/her without even being aware.
Other than issues pertaining to the virus itself, there have also been many issues within America’s economy during this time. Many politicians have attempted to tackle these issues, such as elected official Bernie Sanders.
Sanders has been able to continue his campaign online by hosting virtual rallies, and connecting with the world through various social media applications, such as Twitter.

He is a strong advocate for free health care, paid leave, and affordable higher education for all.
Many would agree that Sanders has some very good ideas for how we should manage this crisis, including making it so that health care is not tied with one’s job. This can be very dangerous as many people are aware, because of how many individuals are losing their jobs due to this pandemic. Without a job, many people are left without health insurance as well.
It is refreshing to see a politician, such as Sanders, fight for the people and their rights. America needs someone like Sanders to provide fairness and equal opportunities for the people of this country.
