The Root River is located in downtown Racine- and is a beautiful 43.7 mile long river that flows into Lake Michigan. There is a group of individuals who work together to look after and promote the river called the Root River Council, which is currently made up of a total of 12 members. Each member has a strong commitment to create a sense of place, stimulate economic growth, improve water quality, and allow public access and interaction with the river.

The University of Wisconsin- Parkside has been greatly obstructed by the current spread of the COVID-19. This has affected around 4000+ students and has caused them to hit a huge deficit. Also, there are over 400 organizations that have been affected as well, one of which is the Parkside Student Government, also known as PSG. Many people are unaware of the fact that they need to take a day off in-between lifting. Although it is recommended that people lift two to three times a week when trying to strengthen their upper body, it is crucial that they give their muscles time to recover.
If people don’t alternate between upper body and lower body, they could cause damage to their muscles, forcing them to take a break from working out altogether. There is a difference between pain due to strengthening, and pain due to damage, and it is important that people know how to distinguish between the two.

Many first-year and minority students face struggles throughout their time in college that other students typically don’t have to worry about. There is an individual named Damian Evans who focuses on tackling such struggles.
